It’s that time again — The China Times is reporting (translated) that Apple has placed several orders with its common vendors Foxconn, Wintek, and Dynapak for touchscreens and such. The roughly-translated article goes on to state the new device will be released in October for something around $800. This certainly isn’t the first time such rumors have appeared and as such should be taken with a grain of salt.

Update: Further rumors indicate that Apple may be looking to use their own processors from their PA Semi acquisition to build the tablet. This approach could become very interesting.
